Hey All.
What is used when re-installing the kick panels to seal them to the body.
Original stuff looked like plumbers putty.
Thanks.

I have tried the black skinny caulk strips and was not happy with how tough it was to mold and shape to fit.
My concern is that some grey stuff thats out there has an off gassing odor (plumbers putty the worst) and as air is always blowing over it when driving... I would like to find something thats application friendly!
The original stuff I removed has no smell and if it wasn't so dirty I would be tempted to reuse.

I also used the house duct seal in the tubes from home depot. Its cheap, and it works.
Just kneed it into a 1/2",or 3/4" rope shape and youre done.
It mightve been either in the electrical section though,or the duct section, its been awhile since Ive done it.Its heavy,in short toothpaste like tubes, usually on the bottom shelf.

I got a big blob of stuff from a friend that works for Comcast. It's what they use around a cable going through an exterior wall.
