I can't say on the a/c, but the biggest problem is the alternator. It sticks up to high for the hood to shut.

If you already have the stock factory parts for the EFI, it may be cheaper then going carb if you are planning on buying a new carb.

Well it's almost blackfriday/cyber Monday sales time so I'm getting ready to start ordering stuff. It's going to be fantastic coming home to a fresh pile of parts! I'm budgeting this swap including engine to 'hopefully' under 3 grand.
So with that in mind:
Best headers for the price? Engine will be in stock sbc locations and connected to my existing th350 tranny.
I'll be using fbody oil pan and pickup, will be moding stock truck windage tray.
Accessory brackets will be from kwik for Alt/PS. No ac
Carshop 1 inch setback mounts
LS flywheel adapter to th350
Carb intake looking at the dual plane holly, can be had for less than 300.
750 street avenger vac secondary.
I might cam the engine depending on what the budget is looking like but that's to be determined.
Anything I'm missing here? Seems like I'll slap the adapter mounts on and just drop her on in with the flywheel adapter, I'll use my existing electric fuel pump also.

Sorry for all the noon questions but here come another! Quick check before I order, looking at a 17inch Deral elec. fan that pulls 2,400 cfm. Would that with my current stock radiator be sufficient to cool either a 5.3 or hopefully a 6.0?

Well everything is on order, good thing Iv been saving every penny:whine:
Anywho, should have pictures of all my shiny parts soon from a friend as I don't get home for another month and a half! On a side note none of my gauges work aside from the voltmeter and sorta fuel gauge but I'm not worried about that one. Correct me if I'm wrong but it would be cheapest for me to just buy a stock 78 oil and coolant sensor and adapter fittings, then mate them to the LS then just check wiring and stock gauges should work? Also anybody know if the msd6014 tach works with stock gauges? Thanks so much for the replys it helps a ton!
