I have been a member on other sites but was referred to this one the other day. I bought the car in December thinking was a good car but was wrong. LOL
Drove the car home everything seemed fine two days later heard knock in the motor. Brought to a shop said cam went flat so sent the motor to the machine shop had all redone. That is where it all started said since motor out of car lets redo some things be easier with the motor out. So started that project then wanted to mini tub the car so when brought it to the chassis shop found the floor and trunk was in horrible shape. Fellow members here helped me out one finding a floor board and the other having it to purchase from. Got the car back from mini tubber and shop just did not work on it as much as wanted so found another shop. Now the car has a new shop working on it local member on here who has probably rebuilt 25 camaros from ground up.
While at the new mechanic shop got lucky and he found a good deal on a ls7 which was in no need of putting a ls motor in this car cause just did not want to spend the extra money but had no choice. Anyway that is where we are now in the means of swapping the small block to the ls7. Once this is done we have to finish the wiring, inistall the new interior, and install some other new parts have picked up from time to time. Anyway my goals were to take this car on the power tour that never had a chance. So now do not have any goals just want the car to be running and driving some day.
Here are some pics from when I purchased it to pretty recent.
