Apologies if I missed an earlier post but what problem are you trying to "fix"?

Most aftermarket shifters already come with a Park/Neutral safety switch (and reverse light switch) in them.

I'm guessing you're looking to use a factory floor shifter but ditch all the linkage that goes back up to the column to work the switches? If so, that looks like about as good a solution as you're likely to find. I'd just wonder about how long those switches will last outside the passenger compartment getting dirt and moisture thrown up on them.

Outside? Looks like it mounts to the shifter (inside the console)?

Sorry, their website was a little unclear where it was mounted. I thought they were putting it down on the shift arm of the trans. If it's right on the side of the shifter then you should last a good long time.

I've been looking at these, going to install a 700R4 in the future. I noticed the same thing where the web site show that switch at both locations. Guess I'll find out for sure. If down on the transmission itself, I should be able to put some type of wrap on keep the road crap off.

My question is how it is wired. I did email them and they said I could run the wires up to the switch on the column. I think I can figure it out based on that, but I would love it if someone had already done it and had pics and step by step LOL.

Correct. When I installed the 700R4, I kept the OEM shifter and installed a Shiftworks conversion and ditched the linkage.

One of my goals is to get my backup lights working again when I install the SW653. Can someone tell me how to access the OEM switch on the column or is there an easier way to access the wiring harness for that ?
