I put on some fiberglass doors and had them painted white with some different striping for 08. Gives it the classic "black and white look". I also had a trans brake installed and the converter opened up a little. Had about one foot of air coming off a 3500 chip. Tried to come off at 5100 rpm and blew the 29.5x10.5 MT slicks right off of it. I don't think I will ever get it to hook coming off that high.

The older kid kicked my tire and the younger one then kicks my door. No damage and it's done up like this for the kids so cant really get mad.

OMG someone vandalized your car in cop colors...:) JK.

Thats sad, that must be his dad walking with the kids. He didnt do or say anything? Shows how much respect people have today. If that were my kids they'd get a swift backhand.

I always thought it was a big tire car until the last photo. Maybe its selective reading on my part since its in your sig. lol

How about some engine bay pics

I love the car. I am just hoping to get to the mid to low 11's with my car. I pulled the engine and tranny due to an oil pan gasket leaking. Installed the new 1 piece Felpro gasket on the pan. While I had the tranny out, I installed a TCI transbrake in it myself. 1st time I ever tore down a TH400. Got a shop manuel to do it. Will see how it works. I hope to get at least a little air under the front tires. Again, your car looks great!

Thanks for the complements guys.
MWilson and Kyle,
I did not try to run the car without the grill insert as we only made two full 1/4 mile passes. On one pass I had a technical problem, my brain got stuck on stupid and I missed a shift bouncing it off the limiter. On the next the car launched hard and as the wheels were coming down lost traction and got a little sideways so I just let off and peddled it straight and finished the run.
The car was spinning and then hooking after a couple feet so we were trying to fix that with tire pressure and shock adjustments.
We started at 13 psi and worked down to 10 psi cold. That went up about a pound when they got hot. It was feeling pretty good and they just sprayed the start so we told the photographer we would either stand it on the bumper, break, or blow the tires off and launched it off the converter at 5100 rpm. It just blew the tires off:rolleyes:
It was running consistant 1.40 to 1.41 60's. I would like to get it into the 1.3x 60's. I am going to West Virginia in two weeks (only 1/8 mile) so we will try to play around with it again.

Awesome ride! I like the "black and white". Vinyl top is really cool too!

I guess that's you I see at officer.com? I'm hoping to start a career in law enforcement this July. I've been applying with my dream agency for 2 years now, almost got it in December, and was told I'm first in line for the next opening!

Anyways, killer Camaro!

Sorry Mike, that is not me at Officer.com. I think I did register there before but never really used it much.
Good luck with your job, it's not an easy one to land.

Steve.
