Here are the smaller pictures.

The attachments can't be edited in an old post??? I made the files smaller, and now it says the total is too much. I give up. The picture below is good enough anyway. You get the point.

That is what it is. The freakin pictures don't want to shrink down in Photoshop. It keeps going back to the original settings. I'll mess with it some other time.

The Super Victor didn't seem to lay out as well due to the taller plenum. That is another reason I went with the Victor Jr.

Your mill work is nice. It is all in the radiused edges. I see them milled all the time where they are just cut flat with sharp edges. That hardly increases the CFMs at all. The radiuse is what helps bring in the additional air.

i've read in a few places it's worth somewhere arround 50cfm just cutting them off flat. never flow'd one,, so i can't say for sure. i would hope the radius would be better. can't say though.

yeah,, i blended all down arround the center's of the venturi's. try'd to make the front to back look like the side to side did,,,,, where the venturis radius over to the next one. radius'd the corners arround all of the outter edges,, also cleaned up all the flashing on the outside of the boosters and the sides of the downlegs,, and inside the venturi,,, right arround where the booster sits. this carb had alot of flashing from the casting. j-b welded up the choke arm rod hole and filled the other one on the opposite side. also drilled/tapped the rear metering block for idle mixture screws to make it 4 corner idle. jb welded up the front to rear transfer idle grooves in the base plate to isolate the front from the rear idle circuits. pulled the butterfly's/shafts and thinned em. left a little bump at each screw hole so they had at least 3 threads. had a good amount of hours in this one too. sure is easier to buy one ,, but when you have it,, time can be somewhat free for the labor.

i really like the subtlety of your engine bay. the composite valve covers really bring that across. makes it appear dark and mysterious. walk softly and carry a big stick!!!

I did it at my electrical shop. I was there every morning and evening for a few weeks. The guys were starting to give me chit for working on it so long. They aren't hotrodders though.

We had a shop meeting with the whole crew on one of the day. One of our foreman is a smart ass like me, but on top of it a sexual harassment case waiting to happen. He can't leave the women alone. So anyway, in front of everyone he yells, "Are you done filing out there"? I had been filing all morning. So I yelled back,"No... Are you done petafiling yet"? Our secretary almost choked on her donut and crumbs shot out of her mouth.

It is funnier if you know the guy, but I am sure you have met some like him. That at least took my mind off the fact my fingers were bleeding from sanding and filing for so long.

I am going to swap my roller cam pretty soon. When I do, I'll take pictures of the runners from the head side. The work is flawless there too. It looks like the intake was CNC'd, except without the small ridges from the CNC cuts.

The next major project on the list is blending my Sportsman IIs into the intake. Right now the Sportsman II heads are a little smaller than the intake ports. My friend that used to own them did the port work. It wasn't very good. I am going to port them right. I am guessing it will take a few weeks. But, that will fill the time when I measure and order the right pushrods, and check clearances for the new roller.

for sure. and for the next few days,, your hands are stuck in a clutched position,, and so so sore.

oh yeah,, pics of the intake runners at the heads would be cool.
