What they said, free is not always the best way to go. Find you a later factory roller cam engine with a fuel pump pushrod hole and start from there. I did and its great, no worries about cam break in and less stripped bolt holes. A few of the Vortec 350 blocks (in 3500 trucks) will come with a fuel pump pushrod hole. Get the flywheel because its different on a one piece seal block.

Did a little searching. Whatever happened to the basic Chevy crate engines? See a 350 265hp crate now for three grand. Used to see the two piece seal motors for 1600 dollars with free shipping a year or so ago. Times change?
Yes Tom, Trump admin successfully cancelled "NAFTA" and instead negotiated an all new trade agreement "USMCA"
As a direct result, GM moved crate motor production from Mexico to GM's long-time partner (SRC) at Springfield, MO, USA. Yes times, business models & contracts changed; many motors were reassigned a new part number & pricing rose accordingly. The old mexican stock in pipeline effectively became obsolete and even L31 motors were selling for under $1700 2 years ago. That old stock and those part numbers are now depleted. Once they were gone, it was as if a someone turned out the lights? However, the Springfield motors are MUCH better! Some design tweaks, process improvements as well as greatly improved quality.

SRC is Both a manufacturer and a remanufacturer; has extensive experienced, world-class capabilities.
