I took it it out for its first trail ride Monday, 26 miles around the Leetsville trail near Kalkaska. First time I ever rode an ATV, as far as I can remember. Fun! Dusty!

I was a little tired towards the end, but not too bad. We originally were going to ride the trails around Black Lake, on the east side of northern Michigan, but a lot of them are still closed from the ice storm. The Leetsville trail was clear all the way.

Inherited a few pieces from one of my brothers about a month ago so not technically recent or a purchase but I thought you would find these Interesting.
1940 German Mauser K98 8mm, very good condition and all numbers matching with the Waffen Nazi German proof stamps, bayonet included. Shot it last weekend, very cool and now I'm hooked on these.
A Remington 572 Fieldmaster 22 pump made in 1962, Sauer Sohn model 38 .32 caliber made in 1938 and a Haenel Schmeisser 25 caliber which was made I believe in the 20s all in great condition for their age.

I got bit by the K98 bug about 10 years ago.

From the photos you look to have come into a decent example.

I highly recommend you check out this forum:

We have several of the little .32ACP pistols from the era (including a38H). They are neat little pistols and a gas to shoot. Truly a hallmark of another era in gun making philosophy.

Oddly enough, I was watching a YT video last night about what the allies did with captured Nazi weapons after the war. The K98 was extensively presented from creation to post war users and copies. Your rifle with the Nazi markings is worth a boatload! Collectors covet that rifle with the original markings. If I can find that video I will post it. Did a quick search and found it:
