Nearly ANYTHING can be made to work, IF you have enough time, patience, money and creativity. Some people run out of the above resources and say forget it. When somebody tells me to forget it I get it done all the faster and better. badazz you probably never really needed anybody's help. Now that you figured it out, please share what you learned with others, that is what this place is all about. Sometimes you learn and other times you can teach. I like both aspects. Although I have no intention of ever putting 3rd gen seats in a second gen. . .even I would love to see your fix!

just drill new holes, thats what i did to put in my custom seats. sure you get more holes in your floorboard, but at least you have seats.
i put some ford probe seats in my camaro because i got a good deal on the seats and my originals were trashed so bad that i didnt want to sit in them.

i drilled new holes, took a bit of work, but it wasnt complicated or very hard

Wow this is a old post. Yes I can take some pictures and send them out. I suggest not to drill new holes in your floor boards. The floor shape is way different and the seats wouldnt sit right. The 3rd gen seats are flat. I made some simple brackets out of some square tubing.
It was nice to use factory sec gen tracks.
I will get some pics.

Glad this worked as I am trying to do the same, if I can find a good set. I have a line on some leathers seats from a Firebird.
