Two years ago, I installed the Holley 20-240 Mid-Mount Serpentine drive setup. Holley does not offer a setup sans air conditioning, so I was stuck with installing the included AC compressor even though my car is a non-AC car and I have no desire to install AC. So I set about trying to find an AC delete kit, a common offering in the aftermarket for folks trying to bypass a non functioning AC system to keep a car running for cheap.
After much searching and inquiries from a few manufacturers, I came to the conclusion I had to build my own. I used a Gates 36212 - 6 rib pulley to replicate the Sanden pulley. A 10 x 1.5 x 160mm bolt for the pulley, two 8 x 1.25 x 100mm to mount the bracket to the Holley mount and some custom made plates and bolt spacers. I re-used the dress-up cover for the pulley from the Holley kit, so that necessitated a custom "washer" under the centre bolt to be able to affix the pulley cover via the 3 allen head screws. If anyone is in the same predicament, I have CAD and .pdf drawings you can use. PM me and I can email those to you.

The bearing came pre-installed on the Gates pulley part. That part number uses a bearing with a 10mm inside dia, so that dictated the 10mm (grade 8) bolt I indicated in the OP.
Thanks gang. Here was my first prototype.

Now Biker's comment makes sense. Mockup looked good enough to run it like that, the finished product looks great.

Okay... I understand what you did, now.
Couldn't see the center due to the dress-up cap.

If I had looked up the part number, I would have seen it's an idler pulley (not a compressor pulley).

Would you be able to send me the PDF versions of your CAD drawings? I've been looking for something like this for some time, and finally realized I'd just have to make my own for my holley midmount kit. I would really appreciate it!

I can send them tomorrow. What car is the Holley midmount in?
I'm getting ready to install it, but it's going on a SBC in a 87 Camaro Z/28. I just got finished converting it from carb over to Holley's MPFI intake. Used a dual sync distributor and smart coils so it's coil-on-plug now too. All running off a Dominator ECU.

It's a factory AC car, but for now, I'm not going to hook up the AC until I get some other stuff done, so I'm not really keen on having the AC compressor mounted and spinning constantly, without being hooked up. Although, I'm assuming it likely wouldn't hurt it as long as it was blocked off so it's oil remained inside. The unknown there is why I want to make a delete pulley for now.

My 1979 Z-28 RS was a factory AC car. I kept the factory heater core but used a non-AC heater box and modified it to fit the heater hoses ( I used braided line and fittings .A 69 Chevelle heater hose bracket .A bbbd March pulleys and brackets to clean it up, They don,t make a lot of stuff for our cars .So we have to use parts from other cars And or think outside the box to fabricate our own .Its just a part of the hobby to do so .A good luck to you .
