Side pipes on 70 Camaro?

How do these hook up to headers? Would I have to have a muffler shop chop up my headers and use custom extensions to mount the side pipes to the headers? I have the summit brand headers on a big block. Anyone know how much that would cost? Thanks

^^they use an "S" pipe with long-tube headers and only one inlet tube is active on that type
if you use shorty headers it's pretty much a straight shot.

So I use an "S" type exhaust piece and mount it to the 3" collector and the other end mounts to one of the four pipes that are in the picture? What do the other three pipes do? Nothing? I'm trying to think on how an "S" pipe is going to fit? Anyone have pics of this or a detailed description on how this works? Thanks for all the help

That'd be more my style. Look like a little more ground clearance, too.
