solid lifter noise ??

How noisy are these things? When I first ran it, it didnt seem that loud.. I have adjusted it 2 times in about 25 miles if that...(Burnt fingers) It seems quite loud now...It runs real good just not used to the noise, I hope! else shi&s ready to break....Still runnin rotella.. Any oil suggestions?? dont mind spendin good money on that..MW you got a solid.. does yours make alot a racket??Anyone else have experience with solids??

If I set my to the recomended .022 lash they get annoying so I run mine at .018. A little more power up high & a lot less noise all the time.

Gregh,You do adj. them hot right? I just read somewhere else that with poly loks you need the studs to be flat on top or they wont stay adjusted.. They were either right on or very close when I checked them.. I have pinned stock studs... I dont think theyve ever come loose... I guess they would get loose and not tight with the dished stock studs...thanks

Yup hot.

I honestly don't know if my studs are flat on top, I assume so. They are ARP 7/16" screw-in studs.

Mine sounds like a smooth sewing machine, just dont get one too tight. Take your time turn the motor over and do one at a time. Make sure the valve is completely closed when you adjust it. works best with under hood button. Make sure you set them Hot! I let the car run 5 min pull the valve cover do one side, run it 5 min pull the other cover do that side.

whats the lash on that cam MW.(285b6 right?)You guys runnin a cam button? I left mine out for this cam.. I dont know if it could make any diff. They are really for roller cams..

I set mine at .022 but I think its supposed to be at .025? No cam cam button.
