Yeah, it's that kind of stuff that got the attention of the feds and has caused all the grief for the guys that sell/sold all the tunes, by pass kits and upgrades. Act like an ass and put it on Youtube, what could go wrong?

The 'Rolling Coal' diesel guys are what really brought down the hammer from the CARB on the aftermarket a couple of years ago. I can't stand this.

I guess as a dad in my late 40's it's my duty to disapprove of what the kids are doing these days... but come-on. What good could come of this?

the rolling coal thing is just dumb in my opinion. I drive a Jeep Gladiator Diesel as my daily driver. I hate having to add all the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (a.k.a Obama Piss) to it and deal with all the stuff like EGR and DPF filter regen. but it runs clean, doesn't belch that nasty black smoke and gets around 26mpg freeway towing my camp trailer. without the camp trailer i get about 29mpg between Las Vegas and Pheonix if i let it cruise along at around 70mph. without the DPF or EGR, i am sure it would be over 30mpg. but even with all the emissions junk, that 3.0L EcoDiesel has the torque of a big block chevy from off idle to about 3500RPM, it's a really impressing engine. those guys that are rolling coal are killing their diesel engines by over fueling them. modern diesels like my 3.0L Jeep EcoDiesel, Power Strokes and Duramax's are not build at strong as they older ones from the late 80s through early 2000s. the cummings is the dodge is still a beast. so those guy Rollin Coal are on borrowed time.

Yes. The new small diesels really are impressive. Quiet, torquey and efficient. Hopefully the keep evolving them to last like the old ones.
