Hey! bid deal day today! I got the front to back SS B/L about 90% installed ! Very good day.

I didn't think I was going to get anything done on the car today, I just went out to have a "look at it". The shop was COLD man, we had snow on Friday.

I managed to find a propane space heater that was crammed in behind a fender and JUST happened to have my newly filled BBQ propane tank in the van so I sparked up the heater, plugged in a circ fan and slid under the car "for a look".

So in three hours I finished getting out the rear brake linens removed the old front rear line and got the new one roughed in and he new wheel cylinders mounted on the backing plates.

Pretty good day, I must say!

Thanks for the inspiration my brothers.

Just be sure you tighten those stainless lines TIGHT. They do not seal well, it takes a lot of force to get the lines to seal the first time.

what size nut

Thanks Dale. I haven't tightened anything down yet. Do you happen to know are the nuts on thos babies 11 mm or 7/16? Neither size seems to be a "perfect" fit (flare wrench of course). I don't want to snort down on them and round out the shoulders.

Thanks

I'm not sure what size, but 7/16 is smaller.
I use a flare/ line wrench to get them tight. There is a difference in wrenches. My snap on flank drive wrench will tighten this stuff well, but I still use a line wrench for final tightening.

flank drive?

What you talking 'bout Willis? Is that like a "crow foot" where the open wrench "sockets" onto a ratchet? Never used one!

Yes, they make crows foot wrenches that wrap around the nut. Kinda like a box end with a little bit cut out.. just enough to slide around the line.

The snap on flank drive with the serrations is the bomb. I cannot tell you how many times one of the guys at work have been able to loosten with the so, but not a regular mac or matco... or regular snap on.
I have had my set for about 8-10 years.

Now you no wha willis be taking bout :)
