Howdy y'all,

I have a serious decision to make, and I plan to make it in a month or two.

I've had my Grandmothers 1975 Camaro for 12 years now (sentimental value), and she bought it Brand New (in Aug 1974). It's always been serviced by a dealership in Los Angeles, and its ran without any down time (ever). When I received ownership (Stewardship) of the car it had 57,200 miles in January 2008, and it now has 62,557 miles on it. I can continue to plow around town and enjoy it with a Car Show now & then. Or, I can drop another $15k to bring this Old Girl from "Half-Azzz Muscle Car" to "Bad-Azzz Muscle Car".

For me it's been a "slow economic" transition to add reasonable horsepower to my OEM 350ci from 145 hp to where it is now with an Edelbrock top end engine rebuild (2014).
It's a 3 speed automatic and she gets out the hole very well (1st & 2nd gear), but of course it flattens out (plateau) in 3rd gear. Also, had 3.73 gears installed to replace the 1975 OEM gears. The EdelbrocK CFM 600 Carb is going to be replaced with a Holley EFI, and a New baffled Gas Tank, Poly Bushings, New Suspension, Control Arms, Sway Bar, and size 17" or 18" Wheels.

I don't race her, but I want to be able to operate on the freeways and possibly do some spirited driving here & there. Maybe, even do some long distance drives like; "Hot Rod Power Tour", and "Cruising The Coast".
** I only drive the Camaro 3 to 4 times a month on sunny-days or weekends.

I've done some research on 4 Speed Overdrives, and I like the "A41" SST (Silver Sports Transmission). If you know about Borg Warner you know that Jack Silver was on that team (that's what got my attention).

I have a couple questions before I pull the trigger:
Have any of you used their products? (Good, Bad, or Indifferent)
Do you have any Tips, or Suggestions?

My regular Muscle Car is a 2016 Challenger Scat Pack that I drive on sunny-days or weekends to events (and some auto-cross), and my daily driver is a beefy Dodge Ram 1500.
Your Feedback is greatly appreciated.

Stay Safe - Stay Well.

Beautiful car. I bought a TKO 600 kit for my 81 from Jack and SST. He and his team were great to deal with, professional and always easy to reach. You can pick up the phone and get Jack any time. I just ordered a hydraulic clutch kit from him yesterday. Same great service.

Thanx Green Hornet... Where in the North Bay are you? Sonoma, Petaloma, Santa Rosa or San Quintin? LOL
My wife & I lived in the San Ramon area for 2 years, before the military relocated me to Texas (North Dallas area).
I MISS that place.

Thanx ULTM8Z... Where in L.A. might you be? That's a HUGE CITY!
I was born & raised there and lived all over that place (East L.A, Pasadena, South Central, Watts, Compton, Long Beach, Culver City, West L.A, Glendale, and Orange County). LOL I've lived a long life... LOL
Btw, I agree with you; my Grandmother was "COOL". She died at the age of 97 (2012), and only owned 3 cars in her life and all were purchased from the same dealership (Warren Biggs Chevrolet, on Vermont Ave). Her first car was a 1955 Chevy Bel Air "post" (bought in '55). That car was maintained by the dealership from 1955 until 1969, when they finally convinced her to TRADE IT IN for a New 1969 Camaro. They really wanted the perfectly maintained Bel Air. But, the very next year in 1970 when the "FAT-Body Camaro (2nd Gen) came out: That just Pissed her OFF! She waited until 1974 and bought the '75 and was HAPPY AGAIN, because the body style lasted for a long time.
I was 3rd in line behind (my Uncle that didn't want it and my Father that died) two serious Car Guys. I got it in 2008 after returning from Iraq and Retiring from the Air Force.

So, you know I won't be selling it.

I really appreciate the History & Stories of the Camaro. There's a CrAzY story of my Grandmother and the OEM Wheels day she bought the car. LOL

Good looking car .Just remember that you can always switch it back ,But make it fit the way you want to use it now. Its like when a person has a number matching car .But takes the original engine out so they can "beat on it" if they want and not hurt the original. Good luck to you whatever you do.
