So I decided to not take the clip off as a whole to get a better picture of the decay. So far not so bad going to need a new bumper cover and spoiler(why did they use bolts with no way of holding the other end in the fairings...) and I'll have to drill and grind the lower stud plates and weld in new bolts as those all snapped off. Fenders are good a little surface rust on the fender brace by the door hinge. I'll drill the spot welds and blast that and hit the insides with undercoating.

Also my Hanes manual I used as fire starter. My mom still has an old chiltons so I'll see if that's any better.

Now onto lightening up the front has anyone made one out of aluminum? I realize that it's also the support for the nose but to me it seems rather weak compared to a modern bumper so I don't hardly see how much it will save my ass in a crash.

Also has anyone ran a harwood clip on the street? If so what did you use for inner fenders and light?

More progress got that Mickey moused heater box off as well as the last of the sheet metal. I need someone to get that 305 and tranny I don't want either..... but I think it's almost ready to pull the frame out just gotta pull the steering, brake lines and driveline then get the remaining body mount bolts off and she's free.

Are you going to use the Western Turbines? Are they 15 or 14". I have a brand new set with center caps but they are 14". They are my favorite type rims.

No I plan on bigger brakes so I'm still debating on year one n90 or cragers in 17. Brakes on this 4000 # car are smaller than my Hyundai

So the steering, brake lines, fuel lines tranny linkage are all disconnected. I have a feeling I'm going to have to cut the exhaust to get it out. I couldn't get the collector nuts off the drivers side manifold so I just pulled it off. I think that might get caught up not sure.

So my thinking is put blocks uper the front of the body and a jack under the rear crossmember unbolt it and slide her out. Sound good in theory lol

I lifted the body on mine and used a mover cart with swivel wheels and ran a piece of lumber under the cross member to roll the frame out.

I did some poking around on the net today. I was thinking of having the frame blasted but I wasn't sure what a good price was. I also read if some guys using oven cleaner to eat all the stuff off but will oven cleaner eat rust? I just know I'm not wire wheeling nothing I've done enough of that and I'm over it.
