Trunk lid &seal

When I close the trunk without the seal in the right side drops down about a 1/4Inch from the quarter.And the left side is just about flush a little lower.When I put the seal in to test it the right side is good but the left side is high.Is there an adjustment to make these even.:bowtie:

Well,you could try loosening the spoiler mounting nuts,and twisting the trunklid while its open,then retightening a few of the nuts where its at.
Im not sure if you can get enough out of it with the stocker all welded,lol.
But its worth a try.

My trunk had a shim in it.

Must of been installed at the factory to make things sit even.

Why not try one??

Shims can go between the hinge attachment point and the trunklid. I have a couple in there just to make things even. Originally, I attempted to muscle it by twisting but was unsuccessful.

First...are the rubber bumpers installed on the rear outside corners?

I don't recall seeing those when I disassembled it.Where are they supposed to be.And what are there purpose.Thanks:bowtie:
