Yes.... It can be connected directly to mainfold vacuum without the reservoir ball.
Physically connecting the tiny vacuum line will require some form of adapter to connect the larger vacuum line from the engine. (Heat shrink tubing might work)

And all my heater / vent and so on functions work properly.
Why is that?

Your heater will work because that is the default setting with no vacuum to the controller.
You probably don't get air through the dash vents or defroster ducts on top of the dash.

hate to give you a bad response but ...

All work fine. Fresh air out of vents, and heat comes if I want.

I dont have a A/C anymore, so the defrost wouldnt work anyway. (If I understood the term correctly)

I dont have any vac. line into my car. Only one going to firewall is brake booster and the one for the Trans Modulator
