I've seen 'em get crazy on ebay. Keep an eye out for an auction.
Thanks for the response. I don't need the the BBC one. A good friend has one of each and we (he) are looking to sell them. We were trying to figure out a good price.

A 1970 TCS sells for about 5x as much as a '71 or '72 version does. There are several differences. I've seen '71's sell for as little as $30 to a high of $55 in a box. The '70 version sells for $100-$150.

Can you point out the differences? All I have to go on is the part number right now.

So I just double checked in my old GM catalog - 1114432 and 1114434 are '70 only applications. So Bikefixr, I'm a little confused on the price comparison with '71-'72 parts...sort of like apples and oranges or am I mistaken?

PN is the only difference from what I've seen from other sellers. For some reason there just seem to be more of the 71-72 versions around than the 70's...so the prices bid higher. If there are internal diff's, I have no idea what it would be. But for every single judging point..PN's count for a lot. I'm glad mine is still there, just disconnnected.

they send a signal to the TCS switch that is attached to the vacuum line that leads to the distributor

If you are not it 4th gear you get no vacuum advance :(

that is why every one of them was disconnected (and thrown out?) or routed around

that explains why the prices are where they are, more people tossed these than they tossed smog pumps ... :)
