comp pro magnum roller rockers
What's the preload on them? Its supposed to be .002-.004.
Also they have a really wimpy retainer holding the inside of the lifter in place. They come apart or one side will come out of its groove really easy and let the lifter 'pump up'.

Oh ya, my limiter is at 6300 with a .578 lift cam, pulls hard and perfectly clean to the limiter.

Did you lose the power just at peak? are through out the entire curve?

through the entire curve, it was very eratic up & down and the dyno operator told me it was poor valve control. Motor really ran great though and I woulda never guessed anything was wrong but new valve springs made a big difference on the dyno.

I think beehives are the way to go on a hydraulic roller. Have tried them?
They sure would take some weight of the valve.I always wondered what would happen if one broke?

Well if one breaks big problems. I don't think they break much because the spring rate is softer. because the top of the valve including spring is so much lighter and does not have a resonance frequency you dont need as much spring to control the valve. My beehives are good to .625 or .650 can't remember but IT WILL NOT FLOAT THE VALVES, motor just passes the powerband. My cam is .550 .560 lift with 1.5's thinking of switching to 1.6's. Call Comp and inquire about them.

I had K-motion for 10yrs same springs on probrably 10 engines. 2 yrs ago I had a funny dyno graph and when I swapped to new comp springs I picked up 30hp at the rear wheels. Car ran great and I woulda never know there was a problem if it wasnt for the dyno graph.

mike thats a big gain...i see it pays 2 have your car chassis dynoed from time 2 time:)

I hear all US made springs come from one of 3 places regardles of brand. I would rank in order of preference.

1. PAC
2. PSI
3. Associated

I am a fan of PAC springs
