I personally think that at 275mm I would go with a 50 series tire over a 60. A 275/60 is going to be a pretty tall tire. In any case it won't be ideal but it would work.

If you're looking for it to truly hook with a strong engine then that isn't going to happen with any regular radial tire.

Here and there...
I'm not suggesting this, I'm just providing some perspective. My car has tall (29.1"), 255/70/15's on the rear (10.0" wide) with N90's.

At that point, I had to remove the rear seat belt humps. I have no rubbing anywhere now that I removed the seat belt humps.

Eric what effect did moving up to 70 series tires have on the ride quality. Is it better? These cars all came with 70's and I have been thinking about switching back from the 245-60's that are on mine now.

There is more sidewall, so yeah, the ride is a bit softer. Obviously, the biggest difference is the height - the 255/70's are a good 2.5" taller than your 245/60's. I'm marginally wider, but the tires clearly rubbed the seat belt humps.

Up front I'm still running 225/70's. I'm used to 17's on my daily driver, so the Camaro feels like it is floating a bit more, lol.
