That's who I'm probably going to be buying my USED LY6 from eventually for the Olds.

I've been staying in contact with him.
He gets stuff WEEKLY and is so much cheaper then Fparts on Evilbay.
But looking at these NEW motor prices he's asking.....they're steep.

No idea WTF GM is destroying cars for tho......makes no sense.
Overstock that didn't sell.....or what ??

Wow, lower the prices they would sell....Why destroy a car and get nothing when you can sell at cost?

The cars were damaged. GM doesn't want the liability of getting these cars fixed then selling them as "new". They're damaged goods. Not worth fixing.

I agree, the prices are a little steep, but a fool and his money.....

Really too bad. In the "old" days GM would donate those vehicles to high school and college automotive programs ;)

For the last several years GM has been parting those damaged vehicles out.

FParts doesn't sell truck parts (I wish they would). Based on those prices I'd say apple-to-apple FParts is about the same. Cleveland pick-a-part is always higher than both. FParts warranties stuff, fairly new stuff usually a year. But I almost pulled the trigger on an 6.0/6L90 setup from Retro but something came up at home so I passed. Does Retro warranty stuff?

That's a great question.....that I haven't asked yet. Doh.....
Yeah I only say that about Fparts because my GTO LS1/4L60e was $6500
from him and I got it for $4500 with the same amount of miles within ~3K.

That was 2006 and his prices haven't dropped much on the LS1's when I was browsing again.
