I think it's a coat of paint. We just got done painting the kitchen, and I'm happy with it. This is where we spend most of our time when we're home. It's kind of big and "L" shaped, so we've been putting it off. The French doors are over 200 years old and from a friend's farm house. Pain to paint and clean, separate panes of "float glass" (wavy and bubbles) between the muttons. I have a customer that does high end plaster and paint, so I asked if he would slum it for a while, and we worked out a barter. I have to put fenders on his Silverado and paint some flares. Wifey and I worked our butts off for 2 weeks. Still a lot of cleaning to do. New switches, plugs and plates. We have new area rugs not down yet. Have to find a new black under cabinet radio and can opener. Any suggestions?View attachment 112776 View attachment 112777 View attachment 112778 View attachment 112779 View attachment 112780 View attachment 112776 View attachment 112777 View attachment 112778 View attachment 112779 View attachment 112780 View attachment 112781 View attachment 112782

Thanks! We're happy with the color too. The guy that did the plaster work and helped with paint said he really liked the color, but he wouldn't have the balls to pick something like that! ???

^^^^He needs to grow a pair. I painted my bedroom and bathroom a color just a
shade lighter than your gray.

He usually does high end big dollar homes. I guess ritzy people don't like color, but us ghetto dwellers (wifey and I) are willing to take the risk. lol I feel like Rodney in Caddyshack

Finally done, almost. I reupholstered the booth with new foam, and recovered it. It used to be burgundy. New radio, area rugs, curtains, runners and blinds. New baker's rack. I didn't even know what a baker's rack was till a couple weeks ago, and found out we "had to have one". It fits pretty nice in the space we had, counter top matches the rest and the gray looks pretty good with everything else

^^^^Beautiful table. The benches look great! Don't feel bad, I didn't know
what a bakers' rack was either.
Thanks! The only thing I know is there's bread stuffed inside it, so I guess it works?
What? You mean it's not her Boobs?
I will never be able to look at that thing again without thinking about titties. That will make me smile!
Looks fantastic Phil, gonna try to make it over soon maybe this weekend and see it in person.
Thanks Bill. You know you are always welcome here. Haven't seen you for a while.

Just looking at the pics, the area rugs look bad/dirty. They really don't look like that. They do change color as you walk around them
