Not since a few weekends ago. My wife and I have been dealing with a sick family pet (our cat Reggie) since last Saturday and have put other things on hold for now. He is in really good care right now and we are very hopeful he will make a recovery, but my mind isn't really on the Camaro right now. I wake up with that feeling of knots in my stomach from being anxious/stressed, but it helps when we get to visit with him each day. Today is an important day as he is getting a feeding tube inserted into his stomach (he has fatty liver disease and the only way to reverse this is to feed him).

While not the main reason, I am also waiting on some manganese sulfate to arrive so I could "blacken" some hardware before I proceed. I am being a little bit compulsive about turning as much hardware a black color since my car has a black theme going. I guess that is part of the fun of these projects is to make it your own.

Thanks for asking, I will have some progress to share in the next few weeks. :)

How is your baby girl doing?

Sorry to hear the family pet is sick. They are like kids. My dogs cost me almost $700 bucks yesterday!! There went some Camaro parts I was thinking. BUT I couldn't do with out my mutts. A yellow lab and a poo-zu. Baby girl is getting bigger every day. Just passed a month old. Sucks I'm sick and can't hold her right now!... Well look forward to watching your progress when you get back to work. Make it yours and stick to it. That's what makes these projects so much fun. Like a life sized 3-D puzzle that you can change up as you go. Should have warning sticker on box " Highly addictive, high cost, takes up most of your spare time, will piss your wife off sooner or later"

Hope your cat gets better. ;)

Thanks Bob, he should be about to have his "peg tube" inserted in the next 30 minutes, so I am praying that it goes well. While not risk-free (nothing ever is), it should go well. They insert a tube through his mouth into his stomach and poke a hole from the inside out and then insert the tube. They actually "inflate" the stomach so the stomach wall is as close to his skin as possible to make the path as short as possible for the tube. So I hope to hear something in an hour or two about how it went. That's all I can think about right now, so trying to stay busy however I can. :)

Glad your daughter is doing well, hope you get well soon so you can hold her.

Thanks Bob. We stopped by this afternoon to see him, but he was still really groggy from the anesthesia so we did not get to hang out too long. We will see him a few times tomorrow. It was tough for my wife to see him all groggy and not being able to help him, but this feeding tube is the beginning of his treatment so I am trying to keep her positive. Just gotta take it one day at a time.

Sorry for rambling, it helps to clear my mind.

Thanks fellas. I know not everyone is a cat person (we are just pet people in general), but Reggie is our little buddy. The procedure to put a feeding tube into his stomach went A-OK yesterday, so now the REAL treatment of feeding his real food can begin (it actually began last night). So now it's just a matter of waiting and seeing how he responds. We'll see him twice today and again tomorrow.

Sorry for turning this into a pet update thread, but it helps to share some good news with others. :)

Hope everything turns out ok. My family is the same way with our dog, so i know what you are going through. They become a member of the household. Make sure the heads clear when you decide to work on car again. Distractions can lead to mistakes. Good luck and have a good weekend.
