Some tracks just want the money and like having a reputation of easy tech.
One local track, I've never had my car out of the trailer, EVER.
They tech you as you enter, if you have an enclosed trailer, that's your tech.
You are "supposed" to come back up, but nobody does.

Another track has like 5-6 guys teching, and they take 15 minutes to tech a damn stock toyota??
They obviously like having a reputation of being VERY VERY picky.

I heard this goofs car was built at a real chassis shop, but to have multiple failures is unexceptable.
I've seen cars roll at 200 and nothing came off except the firebottles, which are in an asinine location in my book!!!!!!!!!!!
There is no way in hell the seat, harness, N2O bottles etc should brakaway, EVER.

Found the same type of thing. Different tracks and inspectors.

G'ville you had to tech every time, period. Didn't matter if you were there the week before. Was on a first name basis with the guy, he still looked under the hood, checked seat belts, and the battery in the trunk.

Orlando ? The guy looked over at my car from 20 feet, asked what time I was running, looked at the car again over his shoulder, said, "Yeah, you're good".

Brainerd Optimist just South of Chattanooga, TN, is pretty much just run what you brung. They did make me put a helmet on once, didn't know I was going to run that to begin with.

Hoping Dave has a successful recovery though, bad to see that happen.

local track has two rules as far as tech:

1 - make sure all your lugnuts are on
2 - don't race drunk

I've heard the track owner say this MANY times

the place is fun

You do know BJ has been a partner for many many years.
Like maybe 15-20 years???

The rumor floating around down here is that Ron got divorced, and sold out cheap his interest to make BJ full owner???
I have zero clue, just a rumor I've heard a few times???
I also heard Ron still shows up all the time, so who knows???

I do know for a fact, the new tower looks awesome, and the lights kick ass!!!!
It sucked being kicked out at exactly 5.59.59 PM all these years, because of the damn county curfew!!

Me at Byron after a proper, thorough, and required tech inspection

Havana used to be the same way before they changed owners.
First time I ever showed up there the guy looked at my car from 20 feet away and signed my tech card with no questions asked or even what class I was running!
