Well, I gave up trying to incorporate that Caddy wiper motor,

So wait, you went out and bought a motor and tried to get it to work??
How did it mount up to the pivot points? No problems?

Spending $350 on something I'm probably NEVER going to use just really isn't easy to do for me.
But I've been close to just saying F' it a few times and doing it.
My wiper motor is dead now too.....it got jammed up and burned out.

I know you're never going to use it too, since you probably check the weather
100x before taking your car 1" out of your garage.

This may be a cadillac motor, but I'm pretty sure the park feature (mechanical parts-pitman arm/trigger plate that came on the motor I got) is not there on the cadillac one,

Ahhh.....so there is a few custom add on's......

Can you tell I'm just really struggling with blowing the $350 on this ??
Been 2 years.......I might just finally do it.

thanks for all the replies. I might just have to go for it. Not too much fun when a wiper system is all that is keeping me from finishing this project up. who am I kidding though. They are never finished.:p

I waited for a 15% off from Rick's Camaro Parts (Ecklers) and paid about $290 with shipping.

How do I find this deal ??
I will buy it if I can get a nice discount.

I wonder if Classic Industries offers this DSE kit.......
That routine 20% off coupon would come in real handy.

Just go to Rick's/Ecklers site, I think the code is on the Home page. I got the 15% off too, that's why I finally made the jump!!

NO, I never got the Caddy motor, I gave up on all the research to make it all happen.

That park feature for recessed wipers is not really an add-on.....they offer a 1st Gen and 2nd Gen design for either recessed or non-recessed wipers. The difference there would be the firewall adapter plate and the use of the pieces for the park feature for recessed wipers.

Stace....don't worry, I've been looking at this SETUP for the last 2 years as well, doing the same struggle.......$300 for something I may NEVER use?? But, having said that, I want wipers......."Just in Case"!!!

they will sell you the switch alone... you just have to call them to order it. they didnt fully come up with the design or idea they were just the first to produce and market it...plus DSE usually sells any of their parts "a la cart" ive even seen them sell some of their swivel link ends to some one that home built a 4 link .theres a old write up on it that stielow did in a OLD p.h.r
from what ive read about it though it takes a bit of fabricating to do it hence the reason so many people just buy the DSE kit.
