well guys i finally got my short block assembled..i ended up not getting it rebalanced (or checked) for a second time, but here she is...the RHS 383 is about to be back, hopefully long enough to make it all the way down the 1320 this time
specs are:
383
stock 400 crank w/ studded mains
stock 400 rods w/ arp bolts
0.030 Speed Pro forged flattops
Howard's cam 250/256 @ 0.050 108 LSA
RHS vortecs
Hurricane intake
1 5/8 headers
im hoping to squeak into the 11's on motor this time before hooking to bottle up
the only difference in this setup and my last one was the cam...i went from a 258/266 @ 0.050 on a 105 LSA to the current one...im hoping to bring the powerband down a little bit, maybe try and make some more usable power, hopefully for some quicker E.T.s....
