Well it took longer than expected but the exhaust pipe in in! Left the inlet side of the mufflers loose for now until i have the motor installed and can line them up to the headers. I don't know how I would have done that muffler with car not on rotisserie, would have been a PIA for sure.

I don't know what else I can do to this bottom, I think it's done. I guess I'll just stew on in tonight and see if there is anything else I need to do, if I cant5 come up with anything, tomorrow I'll rotate it, install it to the subframe, and get it off rotisserie!

Gonna wanna roll over hard to the bottom I think cause that rear end weight is way off the center of rotation. Once I roll it I doubt that I could get it back to bottom-up position without help.

Gotta about a week until I leave for Florida, would be nice to get all the upfront sheet metal on before that. That'll be the task next week!

Looks super clean.

On a side note: My parking brake cables go OVER the exhaust pipes... Is your method how they should be? I thought they put them over (Well, under when car is upright) so that they give more clearance from drive shaft???

On second thought your exhaust pipes might be lower in the drive shaft tunnel than mine turned out. Which is more correct. If that’s the case then they probably do go over the pipes

From all the research I’ve done on this the way I have them is correct. By no means am I the final expert though.
OK, I wasn't sure. I had never really paid any attention to mine until the last year or so while working under there. LOL.

Spent the morning getting ready to assemble. Made the flip and to my surprise it wasn't out of balance with the rear end in it was actually more in balance so i was able to spin it with ease.

Pulled out the subframe and of course it was covered in dust. Got it lined up to car and hoist on car then I had to run to Perrysburg real quick to grab a power steering gear for this old car that I bought off market place for 20 bucks.

Once i got back I carefully jacked up the car and removed the rortisserie and slid the subframe under!

I guess I gotta Roller now! lol, instead of just a bunch of parts. fendors.

Hopefully the front end sheet metal goes this week.

Right now I got the original upper and lower valances to install both in real good shape, then I need to make a decision on the fenders, I have the original, both have been patched in the past and they both will need a little body work to work out. I also have some 15 year old brand new NPD repo fenders that i think I'll try first.

Also, I have the original inner wheel wells one is perfect the other is minor repair to get perfect, and then I also have 15 year old brand new NPD inner wheel wells. Again think I'll try the new stuff first and if it doesn't require a lot of rework I'll just use it.

Yea. We shall see!

I kept all those parts purposely because of all the threads on here that I’ve read where folks talk about how poorly the repo stuff fits. I must admit though that the repo quarters, tail panel floor pans that I’ve put in weren’t all that bad.

I have my fingers crossed that npd makes good stuff! If it fits it’ll save a lot of bondo and body work!
