I just want to say...: Reading through all the projects and posts on this forum gives me a lot of motivation to keep working on this. I know my weaknesses, and one is that I take a long time to finish a project; but I do it right. This forum is a great source of inspiration when the project reaches out and swats you.

Well no pics today, but I got the rotisserie cut apart and welded back together this weekend. Ready to drill holes and bolt it to the car tonight.

Also tore most of the dash out, but I am stuck getting the top dash out. I can't figure out what the hell is still holding it in!!

Everything is off the front end. After I get the rotisserie set up, I will put plastic sheeting up for a 'dirty' room, and get to work stripping the underside and all the paint.

Anyone have tips on getting the silver door trim off?

Theres clips bolted to the pad which slip into slots in the upper cowl. They slip in and get caught by the clip. Grab a flashlight and look up under there.

Ya, I saw those but can't get them unclipped, so I took off the nuts that hold the clips and it still doesn't seem loose. Does it take considerable pulling force to get the clips out? I'm afraid I'm going to break the dash.

Haven't gotten back to the dash yet.

I've been debating whether I should get some DSE subframe connectors. My plan so far is to get the car on the rotisserie, flip it upside down, clean the bottom to bare metal, prime, and then coat in POR 15 Bedliner. I have been tossing the idea around of not taking the subframe off (for a few days) and just rotary wire brushing the debris off and painting what I can get to. The rotisserie can bolt to the subframe, or to the front subframe bolt where it meets the body. Tonight I decided I would do it the right way. The short years I've lived have taught me it's better to buy once and cry once and that saying applies in a lot of areas! Spent two hours jacking the car up onto a few fir rounds and got the subframe off the vehicle. Pictures to follow tomorrow. I had a good look at the bottom of the car and I saw ZERO rust :D yay! Should be quick and painless to clean the bottom.

I also am looking for an air compressor as I do not have one. The final base and clear coat will be with a compressor, but for everything else I have a HVLP unit.

Do you not think the HVLP unit will work for bedliner? I will prime body and then shoot primer surfacer and then block and shoot block and shoot etc until it's where I want it. Final coat wont be for a long time.
