a little work done today decided to drill another set of holes in the subframe for a 700r4 while the subframe was out of the car, got done wire wheeling the firewall and re seam sealing it and also wire wheeled the undercarrige and rubberised undercoated it, new brake and fuel lines are coming in tommorow and when i get my order from ptfb i will bolt the subframe back on. i also refurbed my wiper motor took it all apart de soldered the wires to get it totally apart sand blasted it re greased it painted it and put it back together with a washer pump delete plate i made out of aluminum.

I love the work being done on the blue car. What kind of paint did you use on the subframe?

the blue cars frame is powdercoated gloss black and the frame i painted i just used krylon semigloss.

spent all day sand blasting all the bolts and the brake and fuel line clips and painting them, the subframes bolted up temp till my solid bushings come in. i just had to get it off the ground and bolt some stuff on it to get some parts out of the garage.

This car was bought from the junkyard for 500 bucks it was bought with an engine fire blue interior and rust. It was orignally supposed to be stock and just a daily driver but driving all stock with stock everything just doesnt cut it, I have 3 1980 camaros and all the new parts go to number 1 car nos parts and the cream of the crop. the used to be greatest parts get transfered to car 2 this one then this ones parts get moved to car 3, even car 3 is better than alot out there but im just a sick sick man. here are some progress pics for you guys to enjoy.

the paint on it is out of a spray can, its bright beauty laquer from the auto parts store, all i did is wait for a big rain storm went out with some sand paper and wetsanded with 600 then 1000 and then painted it the next day when it was sunny, the paint holds up fine and has been on there for a while with no signs of fading, the best part about it it just looks like a old faded black car not a regular primered maro. the paint will do for now but adventually it will get painted silver like it was from the factory.
